Natural Dyeing: Naturally dyeing fabrics is an eco-conscious practice, reducing the chemical load in textile production. You can learn more about our natural dyeing process HERE.
Natural Textiles: I only work with natural textiles, including silk, wool, linen, and organic cotton, reducing the environmental impact associated with synthetic fibers.
Eco-Scrunchie: The natural rubber elastics are covered with naturally dyed silk and sewn with organic cotton thread, completely free of plastic and 100% biodegradable.
Sustainable and minimal packaging: The packaging materials are natural, recycled, recyclable, biodegradable, and in some instances, even compostable, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Keeping the packaging minimal avoids unnecessary waste.
Responsible Sourcing: Responsible sourcing for materials that meet organic, natural, hand-made, and fair trade standards.
Supporting traditional craftsmanship: Preserves valuable cultural heritage, strengthens the economy of rural areas, and promotes slow fashion values such as ethical labor practices, and low-waste production methods.
Certifications: I seek certifications such as Fairtrade, GOTS, and Oeko-Tex but understand that many small businesses might not have the resources for these costly certifications, despite meeting the requirements.
Utilizing Secondhand Materials: I reuse materials from my production process and look for second hand materials like recycled glass beads.
